Maple's Sharing Assembly - 10.11.17

Well done to everyone for their brilliant sharing assembly this morning - even with a few technical difficulties! You all made the adults very proud!

This week we have been learning to subtract in Maths. We've learnt two different methods - tens and ones jottings and empty number lines.

It's been lovely sharing all of your Bonfire Night experiences and we have used these to write our own firework poems.

In Topic, we have been thinking about Remembrance Day and how we show respect to the soldiers that fought in the war.
William - we wear poppies because they grew on the battlefields.
GG - the red poppies remind us of the blood that was lost
Eden - the money raised from the poppies go to help soldiers
Ramsey - Remembrance Day is tomorrow - 11th November.

We've also had Game On basketball workshop where we learnt lots of skills such as dribbling and passing. Remember we can only travel when bouncing the ball.

Well done GG for being our Star of the Week. GG is a fantastic talk partner and always values what others say. William is taking Night home for the weekend for taking ownership of his challenge.

Reminder: Next week is work shadowing week and we are looking forward to having our grown ups join us for our learning.
